Larry F. Greene is the Executive Director of the Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District.
Larry has a Bachelors Degree in Science Education from NC State University, and Masters Degrees in Logistics Management from Florida Institute of Technology and Human Resources Education from Boston University.
He is a Past-President of the California Air Pollution Control Officers Association (CAPCOA) and serves as a permanent member on the CAPCOA Board of Directors.
He serves on the National Association of Clean Air Agencies (NACAA) Board of Directors as Co-President and Co-Chair of the Global Warming Committee. Larry retired in 1995 from a 23 year career with the US Army.
Heidi Sanborn - Product Stewardship Policy is Coming to California: What it Means to Consumers and Businesses
Heidi Sanborn is an independent consultant working half time as the Executive Director of the California Product Stewardship Council (CPSC). She has been working in the solid waste industry as a private consultant and a government employee at the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) for over 19 years including serving as technical advisor to the CIWMB Chair.
Ms. Sanborn’s work related to Product Stewardship includes facilitation of the National Paint Product Stewardship Initiative, authoring of two documents in 2007: Sonoma Extended Producer Responsibility Implementation Plan (2/07) and the Contractor’s report to the CIWMB titled “Framework for Evaluating End-of-Life Product Management Systems in California” (7/07). In her current work, Ms. Sanborn educates government officials, business and community leaders on the benefits of having Producer Responsibility policies versus the current state of mandating local governments to manage and pay for product waste. Ms. Sanborn frequently presents at national and international conferences on the topic of Product Stewardship.
Ms. Sanborn has traveled in 2008 to British Columbia Canada and to Belgium in March of 2009 to study existing Product Stewardship systems for beverage containers, packaging, and e-waste. She has presented on the EPA’s national webinar on packaging and to the Ocean Protection Council of California on EPR and packaging.
She holds a Master’s of Public Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s Degree from UC Davis in Political Science – Public Service.
