January Location Update

Due to a scheduling conflict, the location for the Thursday, January 21, 2010 Sacramento Sustainability Forum has been updated.
SSF’s January event will be hosted by PEARSON at their offices in Rancho Cordova. PEARSON is the global leader in education and education technology, reaching and engaging today’s digital natives with effective and personalized learning, as well as providing dedicated professional development for their teachers. Representing PEARSON at the Forum will be Trena Ellis, Facility Manager of School Systems. Trena recently received her certificate in Green Business Operations from CSUS. From that experience she created a Green Team and together they have implemented many “green” programs in the office. By making these changes her company has saved money, reduced the amount of waste going to local landfills, and created proceeds to benefit homeless children in the Rancho Cordova area.
Trena has excelled in her field of facilities for over 12 years, and sees her role as not only maintaining and improving the physical space, but also the personal work environments of its occupants. She strives to create a fun, yet productive environment that helps employees achieve their goals.
